KAJIAN PENERAPAN ESTIMASI CURAH HUJAN PER JAM MEMANFAATKAN METODE CONVECTIVE STRATIFORM TECHNIQUE (CST) DAN MODIFIED CONVECTIVE STRATIFORM TECHNIQUE (mCST) DI PONTIANAK

Estimasi curah hujan per jam dengan memanfaatkan data satelit merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mendapatkan informasi curah hujan yang akurat dan near real time. Convective Stratiform Technique (CST) merupakan metode estimasi curah hujan berdasarkan suhu puncak awan dengan pemisahan kelompok konvektif dan stratiform, sedangkan Modified Convective Stratiform Technique (mCST) merupakan modifikasi pada intensitas curah hujan dan luasan area lingkup piksel rata-rata terhadap CST. Penelitian dilakukan memanfaatkan data inframerah satelit MTSAT sepanjang tahun 2014. Hasil curah hujan estimasi per jam diverifikasi dengan data curah hujan Hellman di Stasiun Meteorologi Supadio Pontianak.. Evaluasi hasil estimasi curah hujan dilakukan dengan menggunakan indeks statistik dan tabel kontingensi. Secara umum, kedua metode estimasi curah hujan dapat diterapkan di wilayah Pontianak dengan korelasi yang sangat kuat dengan data pengamatan. Metode CST dan mCST cukup konsisten dalam memberikan kualitas hasil estimasi yang baik untuk curah hujan per jam pada setiap bulan sepanjang tahun. Dengan demikian, kedua metode tersebut cocok untuk memonitor curah hujan di Pontianak yang memiliki tipe hujan ekuatorial. Perbandingan kualitas dari kedua metode menunjukkan metode mCST menghasilkan estimasi curah hujan yang lebih baik.
