ANALISIS VERTICAL WIND SHEAR DAN BUOYANCY TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN AWAN CUMULONIMBUS DI STASIUN METEOROLOGI JUANDA SURABAYA
Keywords:
Vertical Wind Shear, Buoyancy, CumulonimbusAbstract
Vertical wind shear and buoyancy is meteorological factor related closely with convective cloud development, i.e. Cumulonimbus, which is in general, dangerous for flight safety. Vertical wind shear identified on upper and lower level atmosphere correlated with Cumulonimbus development and simulated using radar data. To understand the connection between vertical wind shear and buoyancy to Cumulonimbus development, study on Juanda, Surabaya for 2014 has been carried out. The study find out that there is a positively linear correlation between combination of vertical wind shear and bouyancy to Cb development. Spatial identification shows a presition location of vertical wind shear and the location Cb development, with proportional intensity escalation.
