Entering the month of rains often occurs bad weather in Kupang - East Nusa Tenggara. One of them in January when the position of the Sun is in the Southern Hemisphere. Bad weather often occurred that is the strong winds and heavy rain. Tornado weather phenomenon occurred in January 2011 and waterspout weather phenomenon occurred in January 2012. The differences between a tornado and waterspout are the place of occurrence. Tornado that occurred on 14 January 2011 causes material loss while the waterspout phenomenon didn’t causes material loss because it occurred the waters of the North Pasir Panjang beach to Lasiana beach. The importance utilization of the upper air observation data, satellite image, and global model data for getting the accurate data and precise in providing weather information to the public. There are indicated of the strong winds, the convective temperature, and atmospheric instability can be seen from the above air radiosonde data analysis Meteorological Station El Tari Kupang. The satellite images can also be seen from the condition of cloud cover and temperature the top of cloud time series before and after the phenomenon. In which the global model data get the results of output parameter surface temperatures, humidity, wind speed surfaces, and vortices that support the forecasting and analysis phenomenon of the bad weather. The conclusion of them are able to interpreted data with a good natural conditions in the real situation.
