Abstract

Flooding occur often cause problems that can lead to losses of little value. The absence of an early warning system when the flood made people become less vigilant. In this study designed flood detection system that works automatically by knowing elevation (level) surface of the water. System monitoring the water level is accomplished by implementing a microcontroller based ultrasonic sensor that will determine the water surface elevation made at certain levels. If the water level reaches a certain point the system will ring the buzzer that would give a warning to the surroundings. The system is connected to the LCD that will display the water level and the data is displayed in real time on a computer. Given these warnings, the public can be more alert to the flood disaster that occurred.
